Leuze FT318BI.3/4P Diffuse Sensor

The Leuze FT318BI.3/4P Diffuse Sensor (50126609) is a compact M18 diffuse photoelectric sensor designed for accurate object detection in industrial automation, packaging, and material handling applications. Operating on the diffuse reflection principle, it offers a guaranteed sensing range up to 215 mm on a 90% white target, with reliable detection across gray and black surfaces.

Equipped with an 850 nm pulsed infrared LED, the sensor provides stable detection while minimizing interference from ambient light. The integrated Teach button enables quick sensitivity adjustment, simplifying installation and ensuring optimal performance for different target materials. Operating on a 10–30 VDC power supply, the sensor features two PNP transistor outputs, supporting both Light-ON and Dark-ON switching for flexible integration with PLCs and industrial control systems.

With a 500 Hz switching frequency and 1 ms response time, it delivers fast and dependable operation in dynamic production environments. The durable ABS plastic housing, PUR 2 m cable, and IP67 protection rating provide excellent resistance to dust, moisture, and industrial conditions. Additional features include reverse polarity protection, short-circuit protection, and a clear LED status indicator for easy diagnostics. Operating within a -40°C to +60°C temperature range, the FT318BI.3/4P offers reliable long-term performance in demanding industrial applications.
