The Sick GRTB18S-P2417 Photoelectric Sensor delivers reliable proximity sensing with background suppression, ideal for precise object detection in confined spaces. Using a PinPoint red LED with a wavelength of 650 nm, it offers a sensing range of 20 to 150 mm, with a maximum range of 300 mm for specific use cases.

Its axial optical axis and M18 cylindrical housing simplify alignment and installation. The 7 mm light spot at 100 mm provides accurate and focused detection, making it suitable for varied materials and surfaces. The sensor features light/dark switching and a PNP output, and settings can be easily adjusted via a 270° potentiometer.

With a switching frequency of 1,000 Hz and response time under 500 µs, it’s well-suited for high-speed automation tasks. Built from ABS plastic with a PMMA optical face, the sensor is durable and rated IP67 for protection against dust and moisture.

Operating in temperatures from –25 °C to +55 °C, it’s perfect for demanding environments across manufacturing, logistics, and assembly lines.
