The Leuze HT3C.XL/4P-M8 Diffuse Sensor is specifically engineered for challenging detection tasks, such as identifying transparent bottles, films, and objects with openings. Based on the diffuse reflection principle with background suppression, it offers exceptional precision even when sensing low-contrast or transparent objects. The sensor features a black-white error of less than 10% up to 60 mm, ensuring accurate operation in close-range applications.

With a detection range of 5 mm to 100 mm and a divergent red LED beam, it delivers reliable results with a rectangular light spot (3 × 40 mm at 50 mm). The unit supports both light and dark switching via a PNP transistor output, with a rapid response time of 0.5 ms and a switching frequency of 1,000 Hz. Built in a compact PC-ABS plastic housing and rated IP67/IP69K, it withstands harsh industrial and washdown environments. The ECOLAB-certified materials ensure compatibility with cleaning agents, while the M8 metal connector simplifies integration into industrial systems.
