The Leuze FT318B.3/4P-M12 is a compact and high-performing red-light diffuse sensor designed for precise object detection at short ranges. Employing the diffuse reflection principle, this sensor offers a dependable detection range of up to 215 mm for high-reflectivity surfaces and 125 mm for dark objects (6% reflectivity). It’s equipped with a 620 nm red LED and supports both light and dark switching through a PNP transistor output, offering flexible detection logic for various automation setups.

The sensor features a robust M18 cylindrical housing made from durable ABS plastic and integrates a 4-pin M12 male connector, enabling easy and secure connections in industrial environments. With a switching frequency of 500 Hz and a response time of 1 ms, it performs efficiently even in fast-paced processes.

Its IP67-rated construction ensures protection against dust and water, while the integrated Teach button simplifies setup and sensitivity tuning.
