The Datalogic S5-5-D15-30 is a compact photoelectric sensor designed for reliable medium-distance object detection in industrial automation environments. Featuring diffuse reflection technology with a fixed focus beam, it offers a nominal sensing distance of 15 mm and operates without the need for sensitivity adjustment, simplifying setup and use. The sensor uses infrared LED emission and integrates Dark/Light selection along with NPN/PNP output options, making it highly adaptable across different systems.

With a quick response time and a power-on delay of less than 200 ms, it ensures real-time detection while maintaining system reliability. Built with durable ABS and PMMA materials, and housed in a tubular M18 axial optic design, the sensor is compact yet sturdy. It operates at 10–30 VDC, includes a green LED for power indication, and complies with EMC standards EN 60947-5-2. Ideal for applications where space is limited, the sensor offers dependable detection in temperatures ranging from -15°C to +55°C.
