Panasonic PM-Y45 Photoelectric Sensor

The Panasonic PM-Y45 area sensor is 

a compact and high-precision sensor designed for accurate detection of very small objects in industrial automation. With a fixed sensing range of 6 mm, it can reliably detect tiny opaque objects as small as 0.8 × 1.2 mm, making it ideal for precision applications. The sensor delivers excellent repeatability (≤ 0.01 mm) and low hysteresis (≤ 0.05 mm), ensuring stable and consistent performance.

It features an NPN open-collector output with dual Light-ON/Dark-ON operation modes, providing flexibility in different control systems. Equipped with an infrared LED (855 nm) and an ultra-fast response time of ≤ 20 µs, it is well-suited for high-speed automation processes. The IP64-rated PBT housing, along with built-in short-circuit protection, ensures durability and safe operation. With low power consumption (≤ 15 mA) and a 3 kHz response frequency, this sensor offers efficient and reliable performance.
