The Leuze KRT21M-09.PL3/42-M12 Contrast Sensor is a contrast sensor from the 21 Series, engineered for reliable and high-speed detection of contrasts such as print marks or color transitions. It features a focused RGB LED light source with pulsed signal transmission, producing a rectangular light spot (1.5 mm x 5 mm) at a fixed operating range of 9 mm ± 3 mm. The light beam exits on the face of the sensor and is vertically oriented for precise detection alignment.

This sensor supports both PNP and NPN transistor switching outputs, making it flexible for different control system configurations. It offers a very fast switching frequency of 15,000 Hz and a response time of just 0.03 ms, which makes it ideal for dynamic, high-speed applications such as label detection, packaging, and printing systems.

The Leuze KRT21M-09.PL3/42-M12 Contrast Sensor comes in a rugged ABS plastic housing, offering IP67 protection, and can be installed easily with either front thread mounting or through-hole mounting. The integrated LED indicators (3 total) provide clear visual feedback, while the Teach button enables straightforward sensitivity adjustment.
