The Leuze ISS218MM/4NO-8E0-S12 is a high-performance inductive proximity sensor designed for non-contact metal detection with an extended sensing range of up to 8 mm (typical). Equipped with a PNP transistor output, it operates on a normally open (NO) switching principle and supports currents up to 200 mA—ideal for demanding industrial automation tasks. Its nickel-plated brass housing (M18 x 1 mm) and IP67 protection rating ensure durability in harsh factory settings.

A fast switching frequency of 1,500 Hz and minimal temperature drift (10%) ensure stable, responsive operation even under thermal stress. The sensor is flush-mountable and includes a 4-pin M12 connector for straightforward integration into standard control systems.
