Leuze FT328I.X3/2N Diffuse Sensor
The Leuze FT328I.X3/2N is a robust, high-precision infrared diffuse sensor designed specifically for reliable detection of dark or low-reflectivity objects at short ranges. Utilizing an 850 nm infrared LED, it operates on the diffuse reflection principle, making it ideal for environments where colored, matte, or black surfaces are common.
This sensor delivers a guaranteed detection range up to 110 mm for white targets, and up to 70 mm for dark targets (6% reflectivity), with a response time of 1 ms and switching frequency of 500 Hz for responsive performance. It supports both light and dark switching through an NPN transistor output, enhancing application flexibility.
Encased in a compact M18 cylindrical housing, constructed from a combination of V2A stainless steel and ABS plastic, the FT328I.X3/2N provides excellent durability with an IP67 protection rating, ensuring reliable operation in harsh industrial environments. The integrated Teach button allows for intuitive range setup and calibration.
Its 4-wire PUR-sheathed cable, LED status display, and temperature resilience down to -40°C make this sensor a go-to solution for demanding detection tasks in automation and material handling.
