The Baumer IGYX18N17B3/S14L Proximity Sensor is a cylindrical, quasi-flush inductive sensor designed for reliable object detection in industrial applications. With a nominal sensing distance of 8 mm and an assured range of 6.4 mm, it provides accurate operation even in tight mounting conditions. The sensor is equipped with an NPN normally open (NO) output and 400 Hz switching frequency, enabling fast and responsive detection.

Its brass nickel-plated housing and PBT red sensing face ensure durability and chemical resistance in demanding environments. An integrated red LED indicator provides quick visual confirmation of operation. The unit is also protected against short circuits and reverse polarity, ensuring reliable performance in automated systems.

The M12 connector interface allows for quick and secure installation, and the sensor is capable of withstanding up to 25 Nm tightening torque. Operating in a wide temperature range from -25 to +75 °C, and rated IP67, this sensor performs consistently in varied environmental conditions across manufacturing, automation, and logistics setups.
