Leuze HT5BPP/4 Diffuse Sensor

The Leuze HT5BPP/4 Diffuse Sensor (Part No. 50151590) is a high-performance diffuse reflection sensor designed for precise object detection with reliable background suppression. It delivers exceptional accuracy, supported by a black-white error of less than 15% up to 200 mm, making it ideal for applications requiring stable detection across varying surface colors. With an operating range of 0.002 to 0.4 m, it ensures dependable performance even with low-reflective targets such as gray (18%) or black (6%) surfaces.

The sensor uses a Power PinPoint® red LED with a wavelength of 660 nm, generating a focused, round light spot for improved detection consistency. Its fixed focal distance of 120 mm, coupled with a pulsed signal output, enhances optical stability and noise immunity. It supports PNP digital switching output, operating in light or dark switching mode depending on polarity.

Built for industrial environments, the HT5BPP/4 features IP67 protection, ECOLAB-certified material compatibility, and a rugged PC-ABS housing. Its fast 1,000 Hz switching frequency and 0.5 ms response time ensure rapid detection in dynamic processes. With a wide operating temperature range from –40 to 60 °C, it is suitable for demanding conditions, offering long-term reliability and consistent performance.
