The Datalogic S50-PA-2-C21-NN Photoelectric Sensor is a compact, cylindrical M18 diffuse proximity sensor designed for reliable object detection in industrial automation. Featuring a diffuse optical sensing function, it uses a visible red LED to detect objects at short to medium distances without requiring a reflector. With a sensing range up to 400 mm, it’s ideal for detecting opaque, colored, or textured surfaces with consistency.

The sensor includes a PNP N.O. (Normally Open) output configuration, operates on a 10–30 VDC supply, and provides a fast response time around 1 ms, making it suitable for moderately fast applications. Designed for industrial use, the IP67-rated plastic housing offers protection against dust, water, and harsh environmental factors. The M12 4-pole connector ensures simple and secure electrical integration.

Its green and yellow LED indicators display power and output status at a glance. Built-in short-circuit and reverse polarity protection enhance safety and reliability.
