Baumer OHDK14P5101/S35A Diffuse Sensor with background suppression is designed for precise short-range object detection. It features a pulsed red laser diode (650 nm) with a sensing range of 20–350 mm, making it suitable for applications requiring accurate detection with minimal interference from background objects.

The laser focus offers repeat accuracy under 0.2 mm, while a mechanical 9-turn adjustment enables precise tuning. This sensor uses PNP output with light/dark operate modes, and includes green (power) and yellow (light) LED indicators for clear status feedback. The response and release times are under 0.5 ms, ensuring high-speed detection.

With a robust rectangular housing (14.8 x 43 x 31 mm) made from durable plastic and a front optic in PMMA, it ensures long-lasting performance. It operates on 10–30 VDC, has short-circuit and reverse polarity protection, and connects via a 4-pin M8 connector. IP67 protection class allows reliable use in industrial environments.
