The Sick I17-SA213 Safety Switch is a highly reliable electro-mechanical device engineered for industrial safety applications. Designed for individual wiring with diagnostics, this Type 2 switch features two N/C positive break contacts and one N/O contact, providing dependable operation in safety-critical systems. With an actuation frequency of up to 7,200 operations per hour and three actuation directions, it offers flexibility and consistent performance. The switch supports low actuator coding, making it suitable for applications that don't require advanced tamper resistance.

Its durable glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastic housing ensures longevity, while the IP67 enclosure rating protects it from dust and moisture. Capable of operating in harsh environments, the switch performs reliably within a temperature range of –20 °C to +80 °C. It supports a mechanical life of 1 million switching cycles and a B10d value of 2 million cycles for small loads, emphasizing its durability. Integrated slow-action switching elements and a retaining force ≤ 12 N further enhance its reliability. The M20 cable gland connections allow easy installation with up to 1.5 mm² conductor cross-sections, ensuring robust integration in safety systems.
