The Panasonic EX-L221 Laser Sensor (Part Number: UEXL221) is a high-precision optical sensor designed for reliable distance measurement in a variety of industrial applications. With a sensing range of 45 to 300 mm (1.772 to 11.811 in), the EX-L221 can detect small objects as tiny as ø1 mm (0.039 in), ensuring accurate and efficient detection even for fine details. Equipped with a red semiconductor laser (Class 1) and an emission spot size of ø1 mm at 300 mm, the EX-L221 offers exceptional accuracy and focus. The PNP open-collector transistor output is configurable for Light-ON or Dark-ON operation, providing flexible integration with various control systems. The sensor is also equipped with short-circuit protection and inverse polarity protection, ensuring robust operation in industrial environments.

The Panasonic EX-L221 Laser Sensor comes with a sensitivity adjuster for fine-tuning, a fast response time of 0.5 ms, and is built to meet IP67 protection standards, making it resistant to dust and water.
