Panasonic EX-31B-PN Photoelectric Sensor

The Panasonic EX-31B-PN Photoelectric Sensor (Part Number: UEX31BPN) is 

a high-performance through-beam sensor designed for long-distance and highly reliable object detection. With a sensing range of up to 500 mm, it ensures accurate detection of small opaque objects (≥ Ø2 mm) when the light beam is fully interrupted.

This model features a PNP open-collector output with Dark-ON operation, making it ideal for applications where output is required when the beam is blocked. It operates on a 12–24 V DC supply and offers a fast response time of ≤ 0.5 ms, ensuring efficient performance in high-speed automation systems.

Built with a durable die-cast zinc (nickel-plated) housing and polycarbonate lens, the sensor is highly resistant to mechanical stress and industrial wear. Its IP67 protection rating ensures reliable operation in harsh environments. The dual LED indicators (orange for output, green for stability) provide clear and easy monitoring of sensor status. With low power consumption (≤ 10 mA each for emitter and receiver) and built-in short-circuit protection, it delivers safe and efficient performance.
