The Panasonic CX-493-P (Part No. UCX493P) is a high-performance retroreflective photoelectric sensor, offering reliable object detection with a sensing range of up to 5 meters (16.404 ft) when used with the RF-230 reflector. Ideal for detecting opaque or translucent objects ≥ Ø50 mm, it features a PNP open-collector output, with selectable Light-ON or Dark-ON operation. Fast and precise, the sensor boasts a repeatability of 0.5 mm, a 1 ms response time, and includes built-in short-circuit protection.
Engineered for industrial environments, the CX-493-P offers rugged performance with IP67 protection, vibration and shock resistance (up to 50 G), and a wide operating temperature range of -25°C to +55°C. Key features like the stability and operation indicators (LEDs), continuously variable sensitivity adjustment, and automatic interference prevention allow flexible and error-free deployment—even in close-proximity sensor setups. It is CE marked and RoHS compliant, making it suitable for demanding, high-precision sensing tasks.
