Panasonic CX-491 Retroreflective Sensor

The Panasonic CX-491 Retroreflective Sensor (Part No. UCX491) is a high-performance retroreflective photoelectric sensor, offering a 3-meter (9.843 ft) sensing range for detecting opaque, translucent, or specular objects. Optimized for use with the RF-230 reflector, this sensor provides accurate detection with 0.5 mm repeatability and a 1 ms response time. It features a PNP open-collector output that can be switched between Light-ON or Dark-ON modes, and it includes built-in short-circuit protection for added reliability.

This sensor is built for demanding industrial environments, with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. It offers superior ambient temperature tolerance between -25°C to +55°C and features automatic interference prevention, allowing sensors to be installed in close proximity. The continuously variable sensitivity adjuster ensures precise detection, while the LED indicators (orange for operation, green for stability) provide easy diagnostic feedback.
