Panasonic CX-491 Retroreflective Sensor

The Panasonic CX-491 Retroreflective Sensor (Part No. UCX491) is 

a high-performance retro-reflective photoelectric sensor, engineered for long-range and reliable object detection in industrial automation. With a sensing range of up to 3 meters (using RF-230 reflector), it ensures stable detection of opaque, translucent, and specular objects.

Designed for precision, the CX-491 offers excellent repeatability of ≤0.5 mm and a fast response time of ≤1 ms, making it ideal for high-speed applications. It features an NPN open-collector output with selectable Light-ON/Dark-ON operation, providing flexibility for different control systems.

The sensor is equipped with dual LED indicators (orange for output, green for stability) for easy monitoring and setup. Its built-in interference prevention function allows multiple sensors to operate close together without signal disturbance.

Built for durability, the CX-491 comes with IP67 protection, a rugged PBT housing, and operates in a wide temperature range from -25°C to +55°C. With low current consumption (≤13 mA) and high resistance to vibration and shock, it is suitable for demanding industrial environments.
