Leuze LS3C/8X Photoelectric Sensor Transmitter is a compact and high-performance sensor designed for reliable object detection over long distances. Operating on the through beam principle, it functions as a transmitter with a guaranteed operating range of up to 8.5 meters and a typical limit of 10 meters, making it ideal for precise long-range applications.

The sensor uses a red LED light source with a wavelength of 632 nm and produces a round, 4 mm light spot at 100 mm distance. The divergent beam path enhances detection consistency, while the LED is categorized in the exempt group for eye safety. It features polarity reversal and short circuit protection, ensuring stable operation across challenging environments.

Designed with a rugged plastic housing (PC-ABS) and PMMA lens cover, the sensor is compact at 11.4 × 34.2 × 18.3 mm and weighs just 50 grams. It supports IP67 and IP69K protection, allowing usage in washdown areas and harsh conditions. The 4-wire PUR cable with 2-meter length ensures easy integration, and it meets ECOLAB compatibility and international safety standards.
