The Leuze HT46CI/4P-M12 Diffuse Sensor is a high-performance optical sensor designed for precise object detection in industrial automation. Utilizing the diffuse reflection principle with background suppression, the sensor offers a guaranteed operating range of 0.005 to 3 meters, with tailored detection capabilities for white, gray, and black surfaces. This makes it ideal for applications requiring reliable detection across various materials.

The sensor features a focused beam path with a rectangular light spot geometry and a fixed focus, providing accurate detection for a wide range of object sizes and shapes. Equipped with an infrared LED light source emitting at a wavelength of 860 nm, the sensor ensures stable operation and minimal interference from ambient light.

With a PNP transistor output, the HT46CI/4P-M12 operates on a light switching and dark switching principle, offering flexible configuration options for different automation needs. The 250 Hz switching frequency and 2 ms response time enable fast and accurate detection, while the multiturn potentiometer allows users to adjust the range from 120 mm to 3,000 mm for precise control in various industrial environments.

Built to withstand harsh conditions, the sensor features a durable PC-PBT plastic housing with a PMMA lens cover. The IP67/IP69K protection rating ensures full resistance to dust, water, and high-pressure cleaning, making it perfect for use in demanding industrial environments. The sensor operates across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 60°C, ensuring reliable performance in extreme conditions.
